Dr. Tejaswi Katravulapally

Along with his involvement in the practices of traditional spiritual life in his home country of India, Dr Tejaswi is a Quantum-Physicist (PhD), an Indian classical Flautist, and a Published Author.

He was born and brought up in a traditional family devoted to the Sanatana Dharma in the southern region of India. His parents are longtime devotees and practitioners of Yoga and Meditation. They took the Kriya Yoga initiation from Sri Sibendu Lahiri (great-grandson of Sri Lahiri Mahasya, one of the prominent disciples of Mahavatar Babaji) at the holy city of Vāraṇāsi (Kāśi). The love and guidance of his parents and the spiritual freedom they gave to him was very conducive for his spiritual growth from a very young age.

The first seeds of soul-blossoming were sown when Dr. Tejaswi started his flute practice at the age of 10, and music - Nada Yoga – was a catalyst for his spiritual unfoldment. Sri Krishna is said to play the music of soul through a 9-holed flute (our body and life). Carnatic composers such as Saint Tyagaraja are adepts in distilling and transmitting the divine experiences through their compositions. This led him to sip the taste of divine love (Bhakti) at a very early age.

Towards the end of his bachelor degree, Dr. Tejaswi became psychically connected with his Guru, Master E.K (Sri Ekkirala Krishnamacharya). Since that time, Dr. Tejaswi’s life changed dramatically. The agitating mind calmed, and may lofty unanswered questions were answered. The connection with his Guru allowed for an inner synthesis between seemingly different spiritual paths, and a great harmony ensued, including the blending of worldly life and continued spiritual expansion.

Along with his formal academic study and achievement, Dr Tejaswi has studied many of the ancient spiritual writings that have flowed out of the wellspring of mystical thought and understanding of India.  He is steeped in the study of the Bhagavat Gita, the Upanishads and Sri Vidya.

Dr. Tejaswi’s own spiritual practices are informed by the Sri Vidya lineage and he remains a devotee of Sri Lalita Devi and the Divine Mother in all of her sacred forms. Dr. Tejaswi’s teaching blends his deep and rare knowledge of Quantum Physics with his study and understanding of ancient classical scriptures and approaches prominent within Sanatana Dharma.

Academically, Dr. Tejaswi pursued his bachelors in electronics and communication engineering from LNMIIT, Jaipur. Later his interest in physics led him to obtain a master’s degree in Physics from one of India’s top Universities, IIT Madras, Chennai. Subsequently he pursued his PhD in Quantum Physics from DCU, Ireland and MUT, Poland, funded by the European Union's prestigious "Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate - Extreme-ultraviolet and X-ray Training in Advanced Technologies for Interdisciplinary Cooperation (EMJD-EXTATIC)". He has authored many scientific papers which are published in reputed international journals such as Physical Review A (United States), Atoms (Switzerland), Central European Journal of Physics (EU), etc.

Dr. Tejaswi is currently working within a unique Ashram Based educational project which aims to impart value based education that is deep rooted in the Sanatana Dharma to the young generation of India. He also guides many students worldwide teaching on topics such as Bhagavad Gita, Vedic Mysticism and Classical Flute.
